My goal is to listen deeply to all of my students and help them unlock and translate their unique stories and creative ideas.  To that end, my courses are designed to demystify the filmmaking process and democratize the tools and techniques of visual storytelling so that more diverse voices can be heard.  I strive to inspire my students to research their ideas thoroughly, think deeply about their storytelling choices, and appreciate that what they produce can be entertaining and have profound social and political impact.
